Darkness surrounded her. She was trapped there for none to find. The walls were close. The air suffocating she had no hope left to escape. No one was trying to find her. All that was left was the blackness and silence. There was nothing. The silence was so loud it was unbearable. The darkness played tricks on her mind. There was nothing with her, Nothing could survive in that small cramped dark box with her. The walls seemed to encase her, making her unable to breathe. She opened her eyes praying to be able to see again, but nothing would answer her prayers. She felt herself weaken the longer she was there. No one would miss her. She has been missing for so long. Something must have taken her place by now. Something dark living in her light, while she was trapped in the darkness. She screamed, but still there was no sound. She was hidden, buried deep inside. The air seemed to diminish, slowly suffocating her. He fear had long since perished. Nothing could get to her. She was to well protected. To hidden. To buried.
'What protects me slowly suffocates me'
The words repeated in her hind endlessly. It were the very words she wrote as a child in her diary to remind herself to no get locked up. Yet here she is, locked away, protected yet dying none the less. She had nothing but fear for so long, and now even that evaporates into the numb feeling of nothingness.
The darkness began to prevail and she gave in. She had nothing to lose. Her friends were gone, her counterpart keeping them for herself. Her family was gone, the counterpart also fooling them. She had no other loved ones so what was the point in fighting. Everyone would be happier without her. She closed her eyes beginning to relax, opening herself to the darkness.
Just as she lay down giving up everything, she heard it. An earth shattering sound blasted through the silence. She had to cover her ears to how loud it was. When it finally stopped she opened her eyes and looked around. That's when she saw a small crack in the wall allowing light to trickle through.
Maybe someone was still trying to free her. Someone was fighting for her freedom, and she was not going to just lay around and allow herself to vanish. She was not going to allow them to fight for nothing. She would come back and she would fight. She now had at least a sliver of hope.
